Q: I just installed a trial version of Print Logger software However, since I have installed the software, I can no longer print to local print queues to most of my printers. This started hours after installing the application and it initially was capturing statistics.
A: You can try to set print processor to "winprint" and default data type to "RAW" in "Advanced" tab for printer that not print. Please stop the Print Logger service before. Restart print spooler and try to print. Error still exist? If yes, please delete printer and it's drivers. Install printer again and write down some settings: "Print processor", "default data type" and "Enable advanced printing features". Start the Print Logger service and wait 10-20 seconds and try to print from networked computer. If print job failed, start HSLAB Print Logger EE Administrative Console, go to "Limits" -> "Printer Options" -> "Printer Limits". Select this printer from list(or add it if is not exist) and check "Do not adjust settings automatically" combo box. Stop the print spooler and Print Logger service. Restore initial settings for this printer. Start spooler and try to print. If job was printed successfully, start the Print Logger service and wait 10-20 seconds and try to print from networked computer.
Print Logger trying to optimize print processing to get exact number of pages. It changes the data type to EMF. Some printers can't print EMF files via network. In this case is best to install PS(Post Script) drivers for that printer, change data type to RAW and check "Do not adjust settings automatically" combo box to prevent Print Logger to change the data type.
